2021 Season 2 Residency Sharing Session

Les 100 Chemins

In the spring of 2021, Huang Chia went to an Amis village situated at the border of Hualien and Taitung, to record and film their daily chants, combining documentary photography to create an experimental video. This work is not only a realistic archive of ethnic anthropology that captures the lifestyle of indigenous people in contemporary Taiwan, but also a sound work that presents the local, lively voices of aboriginal musicians. By using experimental methods to edit documentary videos, she wants to find a more authentic language to archive the aboriginal music culture. In this sharing session, Huang Chia will share her creative process and present the rough cut of her latest work.

Sharing Session: Apr 25, 2021

Event Venue: By The Sea Hostel
