Gihak ArtLab Artist Talk|Tamás Szvet

Artist Tamas prepared fresh grilled fish with European style lemon flavor, while the staffs of Gihak prepared fresh prawns and fresh shellfish. Some participants brought good wines. Before the artist talk started, everyone gathered at the living room and enjoyed a great meal together.

Tamas' works have long been related to light, and he himself has a background in sculpture and new media art, so he merges these two backgrounds to create his own works. Tamas talked about the work he created when he was studying for a master's degree and his other projects.

Although Tamas was educated in Europe until his Ph.D., he really loves Taiwan. He has come to Taiwan repeatedly for various residency projects, and now he works in Taiwan.

His residency at Gihak ArtLab is coming to the end. Hopefully, he will bring these cultural inspirations with him and soon have ideas for new works.
